Nope, the total number of stars that you have doesn't decrease if it's on a question that was removed by a violation. I asked a question where I got 6 stars, but it was deleted. The "Stars received" in my profile still indicated that I retained those stars.

I'd like to know! In my mail, I was told I'd gotten a best answer. So I clicked, & the page said the Q had been removed for violating community guidelines. It was in no way dirty or offensive. Do I get the 10 points? I'm starring your Q.
