virtual reality is a symulated reality, something that looks like reality but isn't it is "virtually" reality. Virtually means something is like something else, but not exactly the other thing.

You see some pictures of Taj Mahal, you enjoy its beauty though you are not in the exact location. Taj Mahal is a real object but it is seen through pictures. Suppose you happen to see the same Taj Mahal on a moon-lit night, your joy has no bounds. Virtual reality is seen and experienced. 'Virtual' is an adjective whereas 'virtually' is an adverb.

Reality means real. something you can see or even touch. this are every day occurrance. Virtual Reality is related to a computer simulated environment. meaning it is almost real but it is a computer program. Good Luck
