Butterfly, in Morocco you have to ask for permission but that is not the case everywhere. Also, I read another article and she went to Morocco with him and had met the woman. She went there to give her mission.

Yes, I read this article (or one in another publication) a couple weeks ago.
This wife traveled to Morocco to give her permission for the 2nd wife.
I would have to assume that anyone who is willing to do this is a little disturbed. It seems odd that she would help with the marriage (giving permission in Morocco) and then kill the husband when he was going on a visit (whether to 'impregnate' wife #2 or not).
I have not seen any news of this in the media here but I don't watch TV much. I feel bad for wife #2, she has no legal recourse for inheritance as well as losing her new husband.

Of course I'm sure they don't have all the details, but I was under the assumption that in order for a Muslim man to have a second wife he has to have permission from his first wife. Doesn't sound like she gave it and seems as if it's just another story about a cheating spouse. They both should have sought divorce, but I guess with that many millions involved they didn't want to take the chance of losing it to one another.

Have heard of it and as with all stories, there is more than one side to it. Allaah knows best. Make duaa for the people involved. As for some of the people here, the wife here is appalled and she says that she thought that her co-wife was friends with her. Itwasn't anything big in the news here. Many people didn't even here about it. May Allaah guide us all!

It's not being publicized in Morocco at all.
Personally, I feel sorry for the first wife. From what I understand, she and her husband got the $6 million because of their daughter's DEATH, and then he goes and tries to give half of it to his new wife? Messed up. As is polygamy.

that will teach others to have more than one wife :) but it's a bit extreme, no need to kill for a man, or a woman :) no need to kill at all.
