Bush might be on the goofy side if not stupid side, he might not be the best president we ever had far from it, but the worst president this country ever had?
The rankings from best to worst are:
1) Abraham Lincoln
2) Franklin D. Roosevelt
3) George Washington
4) Thomas Jefferson
5) Theodore Roosevelt
6) Woodrow Wilson
7) Harry S. Truman
8) Andrew Jackson
9) Dwight D. Eisenhower
10) James K. Polk
11) John Adams
12) John F. Kennedy
13) James Madison
14) Lyndon B. Johnson
15) Ronald Reagan
16) James Monroe
17) Grover Cleveland (served as the 22nd & 24th president)
18) William McKinley
19) John Quincy Adams
20) William Howard Taft
21) BILL CLINTON
22) GEORGE W. BUSH
23) Martin VanBuren
24) Rutherford B. Hayes
25) Geogre H. W. Bush
26) Chester A. Arthur
27) JIMMY CARTER
tie Gerald Ford
29) Herbert Hoover
30) Benjamin Harrison
31) Calvin Coolidge
32) Richard Nixon
33) James A. Garfield
34) Zachary Taylor
35) John Tyler
36) Millard Fillmore
37) Former Union General Ulysses S. Grant
38) William Henry Harrison
39) Andrew Johnson
40) Franklin Pierce
41) James Buchanan
42) Warren G. Harding

If you go by this, Clinton and Bush are equally as bad. Jimmy Carter, which is even worse, is as bad as Hoover was. Hoover was the president at the time when the Great Depression started in 1929.

YOU ARE COMPLETELY CLUELESS IN YOU DEFENSE OF JIMMY CARTER. EITHER THAT OR YOUR TOO YOUNG TO REMEMBER THAT FIASCO. HE ABANDONED THE SHAH OF IRAN WHICH HAS LED TO A SERIES OF MADMEN RUNNING THAT COUNTRY. UNEMPLOYMENT WAS HIGH, INTEREST RATES WERE OUT OF SIGHT NEARLY 20% & THE TERM MISEY INDEX WAS COINED DURING HIS TIME. THERE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ANY WARS THAT THIS COUNTRY FOUGHT AT THE TIME SINCE WE AS A PEOPLE HAD TO DEAL WITH THE
HANGOVER OF THE WAR IN VIET NAM. THERE WERE GAS SHOTHAGES & DON'T FORGET A HOSTAGE CRISIS WITH IRAN. DECAYING INFRASTUCURE PUT THE BLAME ON LOCAL GOVERNMENTS THAT RECEIVE THE FUNDS & USE THEM FOR OTHER PURPOSES. THE MILITARY IS QUITE EFFECTIVE & FAR FROM BLOATED.
LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID YOU NEED DOMESTIC SOYING IN THE AGE OF TERRORISM. THE ONLY THING JIMMY CARTER WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR IS HIS ANTI-AMERICAN TURN LATER IN LIFE & HIS SO CALLED
BATTLE WITH A "KILLER" RABBITT. SOUNDS LIKE ELMER FUDD TO ME.

Cut the crap! It isn't up to any of us but HISTORY to comment for all prosperity what his administration has accomplished. Infrastructure takes DECADES to deteriorate, our military is damned effective, spies in this age of terror are a necessary evil, and the jobless rate is fine. If you really feel your way re: America, go spent a day or two in another country and you'll be back asap!

It saddens me that so few of our politicians are true statesmen. Nowadays all you need is lots and lots of money and the right connections and you can be president. But most folks with that much money and connections are actually corporate puppets with a lot of buddies and not true representatives of or advocates for the American people.

Presidents in the past were very smart, truly educated and were committed to this country. Nowadays presidents are just corporate-backed candidates who have favors to repay. If you believe otherwise, you are fooling yourself and I challenge you to examine the corporate donors of ANY winning candidate and then look at the president's biggest proposed legislation - and sadly it is ALWAYS directly linked.

Jimmy Carter was probably the worst President ever. Look at everything that happened when he was president-high inflation, oil crisis, Iran hostage crisis and that man sat in the White House with his thumb up his behind and did nothing.

I like the Colbert-like choices. I would have to go with most terrible. Some other presidents have been pretty bad but they didn’t do as much actual harm as Bush has.

sounds like Clintoon you describe there. carter had no war to fight Anyway he would not have had the balls to fight a war the way it looks now. it seems Carter is in bed with the commies, our enemy of that era, so I guess we would have been turned over to the soviet union if it came down to a fight underr carter, and as far as these sharp toothed blood soaked rag head murder monkeys, we saw the evidence, they took hostages held them 444 days during Carters tenure and carter did little. A Real leader took over in Ronald Reagan and those hostages where RELEASED!

if only because of the sheer magnitude of the damage he has done, W is THE worst Prez in US history. others have been misguided, incompetent, corrupt, ineffective, but W tops them all. He's frightening, dangerous, and embarrassing as well.

Retarded is suitaible for Dubya, you forget to mention some of his other ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT.

With the help of my Daddy, my brother Jeb, and my friends on theSupreme Court, I was made the President of America.

I became President, and I have a criminal record. (like previous presidents).

My wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are costing the U.S. over 1 billion dollars a week.

I emptied the U.S. treasury and spent the money on my missions.

I gave America the largest deficit, more than other presidents did.

My policies resulted in the most bankruptcies and foreclosures across America.

I was responsible for the sharpest decline in the U.S. stock market.

Over 2 million U.S. citizens became unemployed after my first year as president, and hundreds and thousands are continuing to lose their jobs.

My administration has the richest members (like other administrations), and the pauper in my cabinet, Condoleezza Rice, was Miss Oil Tanker of 1997.

I spent most of my presidency on fund-raising campaigns, and I got the biggest donations from corporations, more than other presidents.

My friends, Ken Lay and Dick Cheney were responsible for the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in America, Enron and Halliburton.

My administration, government and corporate lawyers freely used the private jets of Halliburton and Enron, which helped secure my Supreme Court appointment.

I have used my authority to block all investigations and charges against Halliburton and Enron.

As president I am responsible for the "biggest energy crisis" in America, and the highest gasoline prices.

I made new laws that allowed convicted felons to receive lucrative government contracts.

My administration has more felons on staff, more than previous presidents.

As president, I created the Patriot Acts and the Homeland Security Department to fight domestic terrorists across America.

I have broken more international laws and treaties, more than other U.S. presidents.

I refused to join the International Court, and I have made it illegal to investigate, charge, or prosecute any U.S. citizen, civilian or military for any action (crime) they may commit.

I have had the fewest press conferences of all U.S. presidents.

I have taken more vacation days in one year, more than other presidents. Currently 64 vacations over 400 vacation days.

After a month long vacation in August 2001, I was rested and prepared for the al CIAduh attack on 9/11.

I have made America the most hated nation in the world, more than every president since George Washington. America is the greatest democracy in the world.

I have made pre-emptive attacks and military occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. I have plans to stage pre-emptive attacks on other nations, over 15 million people are against America's world-wide war on terrorism.

I have slashed social security and health care for the American public, and for war veterans, and cut the duty benefits for active duty troops and their families.

I lied to the world about the reasons America attacked Afghanistan and Iraq, and I blamed the lies on the U.N., Tony Blair, and others.

As president I have convinced most people around the world that America is the biggest threat to world peace and security.

I authorized the use of chemical weapons against Iraqi civilians. I have authorized the development and production of mini-nukes and large bunker buster bombs, as well as many other WMD's.

I never had a plan to catch Usama bin Laden. (He had nothing to do with 9/11, and neither did Saddam Hussein).

RECORDS AND REFERENCES

All my records and papers from my term as Texas governor are in my Daddy's library, sealed and classified.

All the records and evidence about my bankrupt companies and my insider trading are in Daddy's library, sealed and classified.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or Dick Cheney, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review. I am a member of the Republican Party.

You must live in a parallel universe. What third world country has a Starbucks on every corner or citizens that have to imagine hardship and danger from their government. You mean that bloated military that you say does not have enough troops to win a war that you refuse to let them fight?
