And this so-called "War on Terror" was declared by the very man who took those freedoms? And this man had a track record of using this "War on Terror" as an excuse to attack countries that had nothing to do with terrorism?

I think they would wonder why they bothered, and tell freedom-loving people it was time to start over.

The founders were exceptionally intelligent, perceptive and solution-oriented. First, they'd call Bush a tyrant, and they spell out how he had abused his power. Second,
they'd be surprised the US government and constitution had lasted as long as it had, and they'd give it a tune up rather than scrap it since it had worked for so long.

They'd amend the constitution to put a cap on power of this "unitary executive". They'd affirm the power of congress to stop wars and they'd write an amendment specifically giving the people the right to privacy. They'd define "torture" in a clear way and they'd reaffirm the Geneva Conventions. They'd be surprised at universal sufferage, and would require the schools to teach classes in government, history, philosophy and logic so that voters could make intelligent choices.

First of all, the founding fathers were isolationists. They never would have gotten involved in an international conflict to begin with.
