Hi,
I am hearing impaired too and wear two hearing aids and I am 25 just like you,
However I am a woman and I have long hair BUT I too have people who did not know for ages until one day I wore my hair up and that was it ... they knew...
Thing is my hearing loss is a part of me and so are my hearing aids. I can't change the way I am and people just have to accept me or they not worth bothering about.
If anyone says anything just say 'Oh I thought you knew' or 'I just wanted people to see me first and not my hearing loss' ect..
Don't be embarrassed or ashamed to be who you are - you a unique individual and you will be fine on Tues I promise. I know how it feels as I have had some comments before and you worry what others will feel but those one with small minded comments are not worth it but I bet they will be fine about it and not mention it as you been there for 3 years and have gotten to know them so well.
Chin up babes - you be fine!
Lx

You need to face up to this fear and stop hiding the truth. No-one will think any less of you because you have a hearing aid in. They may ask you questions at first but only because they are curious, just tell them you've always had one, but never really felt the need to tell anyone about it because you don't even think about it. Once you've been in to work that first time and coped with it you will probably feel like a great weight has been lifted off your shoulders. I think your hairdresser did you a favour.

Be proud of who you are. Hearing Aids are fine and i am sure people may just be surprised you have one that's all.
Either that or
wear a hat...daft idea
get a wig...another daft idea
take hearing aid out...not a good idea
BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!
You can get these more discreet hearing aids now that fit right inside your ear and no one would know it is there apart from you. They are expensive though, About 500 pounds. It might be a thought if you like your new hair style?

you're not obliged to tell anyone you have a hearing aid, I very much doubt anyone will draw attention to it in a negative way. If they do make you feel uncomfortable about it then shame on them!
Someone might make a comment in passing, "oh, I didn't realise you wore a hearing aid." If that happens, don't snap at them to mind their own business or get upset, that'll cause discomfort all round. Just change the subject if you don't want to talk about it.

Most people are going to say ( at least to themselves) " Ah!
So that is why his vowels don't sound the same as when I speak!"
Be proud!
You have to work harder to hear all the c*** that comes out of our mouthes and you obviously succeed!
I bumped into a deaf friend of mine this morning who has taught himself to lipread and now has a cochlear implant ; although at 28 he is finding near impossible to work out what is speech and what isn't.
My point is this, he has just been refused the right to learn to drive because he is not a National but an expat and God forbid a deaf expat learns to drive!
He and I are going to fight the stupid ruling and you can walk into work with your head held high on Tuesday,.Not least because I guarantee that there will be over one hundred deaf people over here in Bahrain rooting for you!
Be strong and good luck!

It will take a while for your hair to grow back to its original length. Accept who you are and go to work! I have this disgusting scar/ birthmark on my back and I'm a swimmer. People cringe when they see it, but no one cares when I get onto the blocks and kick *** when I'm in the water. Well, I'm not that great, but yea, no one cares when I'm swimming.
It's alright dude, no one is perfect. People won't hate you for having hearing aids. And if you're afraid that a girl is liking you and all of a sudden, she sees your hearing aids and reconsiders, don't worry...What counts is on the inside and plus, hearing aids don't determine whether you are an ugly, or nice, or mean or handsome dude.

What can you do? I think you just have to wait for your hair to grow back (fat lot of help that is! sorry!) However, you could look at it like maybe its Fate telling you its time to not try and hide it anymore. Good luck and dont worry, its not like you could help needing them as a baby or letting the guy chop your hair off! So screw anyone who says differently

Grin and bear it, your hair will grow back soon. Apart from that, being deaf or partially deaf, is nothing to be ashamed of.
If you have worked there as long as you said you have, I really do not think it will bother anyone. Even if you do get the odd snide remark, it will have come from someone who is very insecure in themselves anyway. So don't let it bother you at all.

My dad use to say, the only difference between a good hair cut and a bad one is the lenght of time it takes to grow out.
You just face the world as you always have, and if anyone is rude enough to say anything just say, isn't todays tech wonderful. You have nothing to be ashamed of.

Dont worry and dont be ashamed. Im sure everyone will understand. If anyone remarks about them you just tell them youve always had them, just your hair covered them. If there your real friends they wont care if youve got hearing aids or not.
