I would love advice on how to become a tv or movie extra? I live in a small city, Flint, MI, but I would be willing to travel to a big city if I knew I could get work. Do I need to send in photos to agencies or casting offices in NY or LA? I don't know of places in my city or state that films commercials or movies. Do I need an agent? How much does an extra make? Any help would be appreciated.

I think you could register with Central Casting in Chicago. Do a web search for Central Casting and see. I think you may be able to register on line. They will need a photo, you may have to go there and have one made for a small fee. You do not need an agent. Extras make c. $80 a day and meals (usually just lunch and a far cry from the $10 a day I made when I started.). Good luck
