It will come & go. Usually only lasting for the first 3 months, although some women like myself suffer a lot longer. I was still throwing up at 8 months. Good luck with the pregnancy!

Hey i have just had a little boy 11 weeks ago and to tell you the truth some women are lucky and get it for a couple of days some get it the whole pregnancy and some dont get it at all. I was one of the lucky ones that had it bad for a week and that was it but i also felt sick if i ate then had to drive.

Still get a blood test done to make sure that you are pregnant i did one of those test and was told that i wasnt pregnant, however my dad and partner made me go for a blood test and my partner and i found out that i was really 6 weeks pregnant.

I hope and wish you well with your pregnancy i hope that it helps if you want to talk about it or any symptoms that you get just email me on evieshaun@optusnet.com.au

Oooh! The joys of pregnancy!! Welcom to the club, honey!!

Unfortunately for us, we can never be 100% sure on when pregnancy-induced nausea can kick up. All we know is that it's very common and yes can come and go-and at any time of the day, not just in the morning. The good news is most of us get over morning sickness by the time we reach 12-16 weeks, so hopefully it'll soon calm down and evetually stop for you.

You could be really really lucky and just have those 3 days and nothing else. You could have just had a tummy bug though and may still get morning sickness from time to time.
Hopefully though, that is all you'll get. I only got mild morning sickness/nausea for the first week or two and then nothing else for the rest of both of my pregnancy's.

Good luck and congrats!

Congrats on the pregnancy first of all!

And yes, sickness can come and go...it may even be triggered by certain smells or foods (my pre-natal vitamins made me nauseas the first time around)...It usually subsides around the end of the first trimester, but for a few women, it will continue throughout pregnancy, sometimes severely...however, that's pretty rare.

Try to stick to bland foods for now and chew crystallized ginger or drink ginger ale...whatever you do when you normally feel sick...

The sickness will come and go, you might be lucky and not feel sick for the rest of your pregnancy. I had really bad sickness with my first but none with my second. Good luck.

Hi,

Firstly let me say CONGRATULATIONS on being pregnant! It sounds like you happy about the news.

Yes nausea is quite common in pregnancy - it comes and goes all the time so you are quite normal hun!

Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy!

Yes, sometimes the symptoms will be stronger than other times. Make the most of it when you don't feel sick!
And... congratulations!

yes.
morning sickness is like that.
it may come & go or it may stay with you for the whole 9 months, there's no rules to morning sickness.
take dry crackers to bed with you, first thing in the morning eat one, it will soak up the bile & hopefully ease that sicky feeling.

congrats to you & yours.
:)
