I am looking for a different, but not weird name for my baby boy. We have his middle name picked out and a possible first name, but I'm curious to see what people think of it. So far we are thinking Jace Tiago. Middle name Tiago is set in stone, no changing....what do you think of Jace? Any other suggestions?

I really like it! It has a nice flow to it and is different. I am not one for traditional names.

The only other name that I can think of to go with Tiago is Javier.

But I think I prefer Jace Tiago. great choice!

I'm into names that are different enough that you don't know several other people with the same name but not so different no one else in the entire world has it because its so obscure....
I'm not into the name Jace....

just out of interest what is the significance of the name Tiago?

Jace Tiago
not really a good name for a kid.
If you're positively set on Tiago, try Jason & calling him Jace for a nickname.

The name name you give your child can impact the rest of his or her life.

Psychology Today published a study that surveyed over 500 Human Resource managers and over 150 college admissions counselors at competitive admission universities. The results showed that a person’s first name was a large factor in determining whether or not a person made it past the initial screening process for hiring or admission. People with odd or unusual or exotic names were more likely to be rejected while people with certain names – which Psychology Today termed “power names” – were more likely to pass the initial screening. Here are the top ten “power names” as rated by Psychology Today.

1. Catherine
2. Jennifer
3. Aimee
4. Elizabeth
5. Mary

I like Jace. If you wanted to push it to 2 syllables, his name could be Jason. Is Tiago a family name? I've never heard it before. It's neat-o! Good luck and hope this helps!

I don't mind Jace as a first name but it just sounds short for Jason. I would prefer Jason and call him Jace as a pet name.
What about these also
Jathan Tiago
Jake Tiago
Jamie Tiago
Mitchell Tiago
Isaac Tiago
Damien Tiago

Hope that helps. Good luck and congrats

I like Jace, and if you want you could make it "Jason" and call him Jace for short, but yeah . . . I like Jace. I never heard "Tiago" before. Sounds cool, though.

I'm sort of having the same problem. We were going to name our son Eric, but my best friend's brother is named Eric, and we don't want any confusion, so now we're at a complete loss.

Jace is a great name, but you said "different", and it's becoming awfully popular recently. I think it's probably going to be one of those you think it's unique, but then when they get into school, you find out that 50 other mothers though it was unique, too things. I still really like it, though.

I have a thing for classic names. If we have a girl we're thinking about Charlotte or Keira. Still can't think of any good boy names, though :(
