What would you do if this happened to you?
Today at 11:14pm ( 8-24-07) we stopped at the Burger King in Coushatta, LA at the drive thru to try Burger Kings new Oreo Sundae Shakes, and as soon as we ordered the 3 Sunday shakes the Burger King employee yelled at us "WE DON"T SELL SUNDAES!!"
I then said to her, we would like 3 of the Oreo Sundae Shakes, the one on all the posters hanging in the store and on the windows.
She then "SCREAMS" at us, "I JUST TOLD YOU" "WE DON’T HAVE SUNDAES!!!"
we can also hear someone laughing in the background, so I then asked for the mangers name, she would not give us the mangers name, all she said was how many "Fu#king" Shakes do "YOU" want?.
We decided to just drive away because anyone that will treat you like that, will also spit in your food or drinks before they give it to you....
I called Burger Kings Consumer Relations Number 305-378-3535 and told them what happened, they said ok thanks, and hung up on me.......

That is unacceptable for anyone, especially an employee, to scream and swear at a customer like that. I work at McDonalds and from personal experience the best way to complain about bad service is to talk to the store manager directly. Go to that Burger King during the day (go to the counter, not thru drive-thru) and ask an employee for the manager's name and number, and a good time to reach them. If the store manager is any good, your issue will be solved faster than it would be calling Consumer Relations. However, it's good that you did call CR because restaraunts are rated on a points scale depending on how many complaints they recieve, and chances are this loser BK isn't doing too well.
Sorry for the long answer...to sum it up, there is no excuse for an employee to treat a customer that way.

This is a little white lie, but you can try it. Call that Burger King and ask who the OWNER is and how you can reach them. Tell them the time and day of your visit, ask who was the manager that day. The reason? I had the most pleasent service that I ever received and I want to give credit to the person in charge. Sadly though there are some owners who don't care,

Damn, what a B. You did the right thing by leaving and calling that number. But you seem to have gotten a short and unprofessional response from them. Trying calling back or e-mailing them. There's no excuse for yelling and swearing at customers. I encountered poor service (but not quite as bad as you) from a couple of rude snots at McDonalds. We called the number and they were very nice and apologetic. They even called back a couple days later and sent us a bunch of free coupons. I ban the places where I get really bad service. I say screw them there are plenty of other fast food restaurants.

I would have definitely found out the biotch's name that was at the window. There is always supposed to be a shift manager there. I would have went inside and asked for the manager. There should also be a division manager. I would find out who he/she is and tell them about the situation.
This happened to us: We paid for our food, there were two separate orders. The girl at the window accused us of not paying for one of the orders. After she had already given us our drinks, 4 huge drinks. The manager got involved and everything. My husband said, if she comes back to that window and says we didn't pay for our food. I'm going to chunk these drinks through that da*n window. Well, it happened he stepped out of the passenger side, set the drinks on the top of the car and started pitchin' , they got soaked. The cars behind us in line got a show. I'm not thinkin' they accused somebody of not payin' for their food anytime soon after that.

I would call the Burger King manager plus get information on how to contact the District or Regional Manager. This employee needs to be fired.

I can't stand Burger King and most of them in the area have closed. They used to be pretty good, but I wouldn't eat at one if I was starving.
The fact that their corporate office could care less about consumer complaints just tells me I definitely don't want to eat there. Sounds like they need a mystery shopper.

It sounds like the customer relations people blew it off as well. If you really want to pursue it, find out who the franchise owner is, usually it's posted somewhere at the restaurant, and complain directly to them. The corporate people have too much on their plate, so something like this may be overlooked. But if the actual owner finds out, they'll be more likley to take action. If you can't find out who the owner is at the restaurant, try looking up the business license at City Hall.

Call the store (318) 932-5479 during the day and ask to speak with the manager! Make sure that they know what was said! I do not know if it will make a difference, but it is worth a try!

i can sympathize with your experience but there are so many burger king chains out there and i would have gone to another one if i really wanted that shake bad enough which you probably did right? communication is everything in business and personal life. i think maybe that was her way of telling you they ran out or maybe its called a sundae shake so really its a shake not a sundae. so one little misunderstanding can build a great wall that causes a communication barrier. obviously you thought she was mocking you and she thought you were crazy because mcdonalds has the sundaes and burger king has shakes. anyway from experience at working drive thrus and fast food you should never expect great customer service because most people are just there to get through the day with a paycheck not to make sure that people are happy and getting good service but there are some who are trying to give good service. for most its usually a first job and a place to just have fun and get away with all kinds of mumbo jumbo. good luck and dont take it too seriously. enjoy life and if i were you i would just go to health food stores and get higher quality food with higher quality service. however i will never be you and thats what makes the world beautiful. peace and love.
