Why do some refuse to believe that humans are animals when it is a FACT?

Humans are mammalian animals. What are their other options? Vegetable or mineral? Hey, they can choose... animal, vegetable or mineral. I'd rather be an animal instead of a vegetable or mineral.

You know what, I changed my mind. I want to be a mineral instead of an animal. Do minerals ever give dumb answers on this site? Do minerals ever start wars? Do minerals deny that they are minerals?

Just because you WANT to be something that you are not (like a divine spiritual soulful being that is neither animal, mineral or vegetable) doesn't mean that you ARE.

Apparently you people are clueless about scientific classification. Are we Mammals? YES.... We are of the Homo-sapien Species, of the Hominidae Family, of the Primate Order, of the Mammalia (Mammal) Class, of the Chordata Phylum, of the Vertebrata Sub-phylum, of the Animalia (Animal) Kingdom.

Because the bible tells people that animals are put here on earth for us to eat and slaughter and that they have no souls...So religious people dare not think themselves as animals. They can't handle the truth. LOL @ some dude below me, he said "Humans will think first before they do something. FACT!!!! prove it. We may be scientifically classed as mammels because we give birth to live young but we are FAR from being animals. We are the only beings on earth that are conscious of a spirituality (however you view that) something an animal never could be, we do not live our lives purely from instinct. We are set apart from the animals because of the amazing things our hearts and minds can do. We are NOT just a collection of skin, bone, tissue, cartilege etc. NO we are much much more than animals.

Yeah. But I'd rather be human than the offspring of animals. There is a God that created us in His likeness, and that likeness is not of the animal kingdom. We were created human-we are human. It's that simple. I have no monkeys (or other animals as far as that goes) in my family tree. How about you?
