I'd rather listen to an artist I personally like - wherever I find their music. The delivery method doesn't matter (and in a few more years that will become increasingly more evident as iPods, cellphones, framistans, satellite and Internet delivery systems become as ordinary as terrestrial radio is now). Good question, though - a star for you.

It's the grooves baby, not how you get it.

Actually they dont do alot of research, most playlists these days are chosen by a computer program based on trends, demographics, and who pays the most. Stuff on the radio is just music they think will hold your attention thru commercials, so if it's doing well online, it is inevitable it will eventually wind up on a generated list. Id rather discover a band by accidentally seeing them. You cant really tell how good a band is til you see them live.

I don't care how I discover it, as long as I discover it.

There are still a few decent "Corporate" stations out there which I stream sometimes.
Check Radio 1045 in Philly, Indie in LA, The Sound in Cincy, EQX in Vermont - all good and unique with lots of stuf I'm use to hearing on other radio stations.

I love the feeling when I discover a band online and then weeks/months later they appear on tv/radio here or I see their CD in a store.... I live in New Zealand and music is pretty slow to make it here from overseas (even mainstream music) so I would choose internet over radio stations
