You might want to talk to an IT expert, they may be able to retrieve it for you, but I don't know of any easy way. Good luck.

Tragic...there are specialist file recovery firms who can retrieve data from a drive in almost any state. As you drive isn't damaged it is possible the file still exists bet is simply removed from the Allocation table - this list of where all file fragments are located.
If you really want to retrieve this data do not use the drive at all and courier it to a data recovery company. It will not be cheap.

Emptying the recycle bin only erases the file allocation table.
The data is still on there until it's overwritten.
Try not to use that folder, (trash). till you try this.
Some good computer geeks can retrieve data in the sectors.
(I'm not that advanced, but know it's possible.)
You might have to unscramble the fragmented files,
but most of it should be there.
Good luck.

You'll need some software to do that. Try searching the Net for data-retrieving software.

Yes you can recover it. Unless you have file shredding software anything you have deleted is easily recoverable. Try a simple piece of software called recover my files, this can recover files from deletion and even from formatting, plus it gives you options on what type of file to search for.

I have absolutely no sympathy with you. For something so important, it is ludicrous not to have kept a backup copy somewhere else. There is specialist software to retrieve deleted data, very expensive, but you could take it to a computer expert who might have the relevant software - but it will cost. An expensive lesson indeed.

You may be able to rescue it from the hard drive, it depends whether your computer is set up to back up files - I would advise you to go to somewhere like 'PC World' where they will be helpful because they want you as a customer. Not promising anything, it really depends on how your system was set up.
Best of luck though, I feel for you.

Presumeing you're working XP (might artwork with Vista too, not sure) Your recycle bin is placed at " C:RECYCLER " to make certain this folder, circulate into "My laptop" > approaches > Folder suggestions > View > and untick "conceal secure equipment records" i assume you ought to create a shortcut for that. appreciate
