I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and I am already showing. This is my 1st pregnancy but from seeing my friend's and family's pregnancies I know this is pretty early to be showing. Has anyone else experienced this?
Here's the funny little catch for me, twins run in my family. My grandmother was an identical twin and twins run on my grandfather's side as well. I'm the first of their grandchildren to become pregnant. I just found out last week that I was pregnant (just thought I had a really, really bad bug for a few weeks). The earliest my ob can get me in is September 18th so this should be interesting. lol

I'm 5'8" and was a little pudgy. I was losing weight like crazy before the pregnancy because I have MS and one of my medications has a side effect of weight loss. I haven't gained any weight with the pregnancy, if anything my weight has leveled out. The rest of me is leaner then I have this baby bump and fuller boobs. For anyone who knows me it's very noticeable!

People are all different, a friend at work recently told me she was pregnant. Even at 9 months she looked like some women in their first trimester. Since your family has a history of twinship you just might be showing more because of that.

Where exactly are you showing? If it is around your navel area, then that is most likely bloating. If it is right above your pubic bone then it is probably the baby. I am 5' 5" and when I had my first I was 100 lbs. I started getting a little pooch that only i could see no one else. (well you could see it in a swim suit) I am almost 8 weeks preggo today and I have a belly but it comes and goes so I know I am just bloated.
edit- oh yeah, and twins come from the MOTHER'S side. So you do have the possibility of that.

When i had my first i showed around that time but i was skinny 7 stone 5"2 now i have had 3 kids and i am 8 weeks pregnant and i have a pregnant belly!! so each to their own

I showed that early with my first one. I had to wear maternity clothes at 7 weeks because my other clothes did not fit. I did not have twins. My daughter was only 6 lbs. 12 oz.

if you are skinny then that might be why, or yes if its twins then thats another reason that you are showing early.
I'm young and skinny and this is my first pregnancy AND i'm having twins, and i started to show at just over 8 weeks! be prepared for someone to tell you its twins. congrats and good luck.

Are you really skinny? Skinny people can show earlier. Also twin pregnancy can show early as well. Also, this early, your body is bloating up- what you are showing may just be your abdomen bloating. the baby is so very tiny right now that I doubt it is baby showing.

If u had a really flat tummy before hand its not unusual for this to happen.

From what I've read twins have to run on the males side. I know I started showing early or was bloated. My jeans felt tight early on.
