My mother turns 70 yrs. old this Sunday and has been past menopause for several years. About a month ago she began to bleed sporadically and heavy at times. She just had a biopsy but no results yet. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

Yes, my grandma has that, she is 74. She becomes to bleed couple of years after her menopause, so went to the doctor.. And after that she's taking different pills with hormones; at first everything was ok, it stopped, then she had pills for sth else, and ... started to bleed because of that...:(((

You have done the right thing by going for a biopsy. Wait for the biopsy report.

if she had regular yearly pap screen it would be easier to answer this but I don't want to sound negative outside of an injury of some sort it doesn't sound good, but don't give up hope because science and miracles happen everyday, best wishes and prayers !!

Yes, and this could be a sign of cancer.
