Even the over the counter tests are very sensitive and can detect a pregnancy very rapidly after implantation, when HCG levels begin to rise. 8 days is normally the level this can be picked up.

no and if you did take a test and it was positive take anohter one and if its still pos. you have been preg for a mo. or more. and i would go to your ob.

it depends on how close to your period you are, some tests can be done 4 days before you are due to come on.

if you are a couple of days away from your period then yes. you can get an accurate reading, if still only mid cycle then no
