Which series comes first Rouroni Kenshin or Samuri X or is there some other series that goes with it?

Rurouni Kenshin the TV series was aired first.

It had a movie sequel titled Samurai X: The Motion Picture and a two episode OAV sequel titled Samurai X: Reflection

There was also a four episode OAV prequel called Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal .

That's all that there is for the Kenshin series.

Samurai X "Trust" and "Betrayal" comes first. Its the story of Kenshin when he was in his late teens and explains why he has the scar on his cheek and his reverse blade sword. After that comes the Rouroni Kenshin series and The Samurai X movie is a Rouroni Kenshin movie that takes place during that series even though its titled Samurai X. After Rouroni Kenshin theres the Samurai X "Reflection" DVD that tells everything in a nutshell and even reaches into the story of Kenshins kid.

They are both the same series, Samurai X is what its called here in the states by ADV that released the the movie the
OAV's. The TV series came after the popular manga that Anime works has the rights to. 2 companies but the same anime. The movie takes place in between the anime while the first OAV take place before and shows how he got the x scar while the second OAV thake place after the TV.
