lengthwise,it is not a problem, but I have been told that the tension of the two size strings is quite different.also, can anybody recommend a decent set of violin strings for under $20 ?

it may appear to be long enough but you make get slippage with the 3/4 strings .... decent for under $20 (giggles uncontrollably) highly unlikely use at least decent brand of student string like Red Label or Prelude but their price is closer to $30 a set (that's list price) less when they are on sale

with this kind of question I am assuming you are a beginner .. so stick with the student strings like Red Label or Prelude until you get better ..... then you can start to experiment with the pricier strings

No, the string won't stretch far enough. If your lucky you can get a set on ebay for $20. Some on sale are usually around 28 dollars that are full size.

No, you can't put 3/4 size strings on a full size violin. I think the cheapest strings are the steel Red Label, but they don't sound very good.

no you can't. they are too short. I've played the violin-for 12 years
you get what you pay for-spend the money if you like to play
