What is going on when the right is claiming that they care about civilian populations in other countries more than liberals, and they are pushing more government and less freedom? O but it's for our safety.
Saddam Hussein was a brutal tyrant that America supported and empowered for years. Now he's gone and things ARE WORSE than ever before!
We have had hinges installed upon our freedoms. Our foreign policy changed, so we may now attack those who we feel could be a threat in the future.
So in theory this great for our defense, but the first time it was implemented was over lies and deception. We are now in a terrible war that had nothing to do with freeing people or defending our country. So what is this war about.
I am not saying that I am pro or con, I just don't understand what is happening. All I see is smoke and mirrors.

I think you hit the nail on the head, however you left out motive! And what do you think that is?

Saddam was no threat, he did not attack us. He did not harbor terrorist, in fact he hated them, especially if they were Iranians! He did not agree with Osama bin Laden's outlook, and refused to be part of it!

"Pre emptive" wasting of hundreds of thousands of lives over nothing but oil is a crime!

Who you have to fear sits in the white house! Who knows what he is cooking up!

First, toss out the left and right concepts...

People confuse right with right (as in correct)

We need to be one country and stand united and not let partisan politcs divide us. That is the only way we can make those with the power stand up and listen to us.

Maybe people are realizing that we are all pretty much in the middle... with extremeists on both sides.

The differences between the republicans and democrats has been so minor over the past years, most of the major changes and major bills that have been passed have done so with the support of both parties.

Countless bills have been introduced that have both dem and republican sponsors.

It is all smoke and mirrors. The media focuses on the few things that do seperate the parties... (which is only gays & aborition)

And not ALL liberals are just standing there looking confused... Some, like myself, have altered priorities and have refocused on what is really important.. Saving this country from the tyrrany and corruption that currently exists.

Even though I am liberal at heart, I know we need to revert back to our constituion, and uphold the founders ideals of our country.

Of all the things happening in our country, that are destroying our country (things like North American Union) there is only one canidate that I have seen that is trying to restore our country's basic principles.

The liberal in me wants to say yes, health care for all, education, welfare, social security, spend spend spend...

But I know that is not what this country needs right now. We need our freedom back. We need to no longer fear the big brother that is watching. We need to end the legalized warrentless wire tapping. We need to restore our constitutional rights.. We need Ron Paul... The only presidential canidate who believes the constitution should be honored and upheld.. and not altered to suit one's needs.

Yes indeed it does very well seem like a lot of smoke and mirrors. The alarming thing is how many Americans are still being fooled by the magic show...

Yeah, it's amazing that we've funded trillions into the war yet we need to have the FEDs prop up our economy by injecting billions of dollars.

To anyone paying attention it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I agree. Conservatives should go back to being men and leave the fussy chatter to libs.
