It's been in my freezer for over 5 years now. I needed to use an axe to get it out then cut off a piece for a hamburger. It smelled unusal, so I asked her to have a bite first. That way, I would know if its safe or not. she got so mad she left going "Home". Her mom hates my guts so I can't call there. Did I do something wrong?

You did nothing wrong. By offering her the possibly rancid meat first, you were HELPING her. She is obviously so madly in love with you, that if YOU ate it and died she would be distraught and probably kill herself, even go on a murderous rampage. You were saving her this awful fate by giving her the chance to die first.
You are an excellent boyfriend, and her mother is crazy not to like you!

Yes. First, I have to ask, did you have your parents sign the permission slip for you to use an axe to remove the hamburger? If so, then show then your question, they'll answer the rest. If not, are you just oblivious? If you've made it past eighteen, you should know EXACTLY what ya did wrong!

Beef should never be in the freezer more than 1 year, chicken and pork=6 months!

One time my popsicles froze to the back of the refrigerator and I had to use a screwdriver to chisel them out. They were kind of slimy but still good, yeah still good.
