I'm guessing that this movie was from the early or mid 70s ... it was about a plane that developed some kind of evil hole in the floor, in the middle of a flight. The hole was about as big as a dinner plate, and the area surrounding it looked sort of melted and burned, and I think smoke or steam occasionally came out of it. The people on the plane somehow came to the conclusion that they needed to sacrifice a person to the evil hole, but concocted this whole plan to feed it a child's doll instead. I remember them putting make-up on the doll to make it look more life-like. They put the doll near the hole and it started to melt, but I don't think the hole was "satisfied". I don't remember what they eventually ended up doing about it.

Does anybody have any clue what movie this may have been? I think the name may have been something like "Flight 75" (no clue on the number, but "Flight (Something)" or similar.

YEs,I remember this movie!
I can't remember the name though but I remember the plot you've described. There was something evil below in the cargo that the hole led to. I'll keep thinking about it until I remember and then I'll repost :-)
