Unfortunately we love bad news!

We just love watching a good plane crash, or seeing devastation from a hurricane or earthquake.

(Remember how we were all glued to CNN when 911 happened?)

Like most TV programs, News channels generally rely on ratings to gain revenue from advertisers. This being the case, they have to air events that people will watch.

Just remember that though many bad things happen in the world, there are just as many wonderful things that happen. Unfortunately, these don't seem to be considered 'newsworthy'.

With regard to the poor lad that was shot dead - I'm old enough to have learnt that what goes around comes around. The mindless cretin that perfomed this terrible crime will no doubt get his reward at some point in his lfe.

Google "Stories of courage" or check out the link below, there is some heart warming news out there somewhere, you just need to look a bit harder to find it.

Regards

Boris

Is that the little boy who was playing soccer with his mates in the street and a guy rode past and shot him dead... just for the hell of it?

I seen that story last night, i was sickened to say the least. My kids play ball in our quiet little street often too.

Something really has to give in this world.
Undisciplined, disrespectful kids running rampant with their bullying tactics because they have no boundaries. I often wonder and worry about what our kids are going to have to contend with in another 10 or 20 years, things aren't getting any better either.
We are having generation after generation being raised by childcare centre workers who aren't allowed the kind of firm discipline that it takes to raise most kids to keep within the boundaries of society and then when they are older... the law itself! The cane has been taken away from school and authority itself in school is now questionable, even the police have no powers to give the kids out at night a kick in the **** and drag them home, all they get now is a harrassment charge.
Once uopn a time you could rely on neighbours to be eyes and ears too but even now if a neighbour has something to say to an out of line kid then they can look forward to a mouthful off one of the parents.

Hmm, I've heard a lot worse than that.

Like, the guy who slammed his 7 week old daughters head repeatedly into the bedpost and kicked her in the head until she died.

Or if you've ever heard of "underground videos"... those are pretty horrible. I've never actually seen one, but I read something by someone who did... it was a video about a 8 year old girl tied to a tree getting gutted and raped. Yeah... not so great stuff. The world is full of freaks.

i dont watch the news
but im glad
im not a teenager
first time buyer trying to get a morgage
working all hours to fill the governments coiffers (so that they can squander it away on "their own" worthy causes
a couple/single person with a family
an older person on a meagre pension
this country is run by people that have lost touch with reality
the compensation and benifits culture has turned people into "why earn it" when we can claim entitlement to it x
my heart goes out to every person that has lost a loved one through the "grab and go" society where a life is worth nothing but if you dont pay your council tax or if you throw a crisp packet out of your car window then you can be sent to prison x sorry to get on the soap box x

Somebody got killed, somebody got robbed, somebody crashed, somebody got blown up. Weather's gonna be about the same as today, traffic is going to suck going to work and coming home. That's the news, good night.

I rarely watch it anymore, and the few times I catch it, it's still the same crap every night. They go into a frenzy over every sick and twisted thing that happens. What really pisses me off is that the scum of society is a very very tiny percentage. But these lamp tanned talking heads can't find anything good to talk about. Here's the news, it sucks, go to bed.

this is the world that we live in, all we can do is try and make it better one person at a time..Im not a hippie but I feel like a little love goes a long way. it starts with one child having a bad life, and it continues through the generations until it finally manifests into something that most of us find horrific, we need to show love to one another, and those creepy kids could very well be the next murderers......show them love b/c most likely they havent had much .....sad? hell yes.........hopefull? definately.

basically the goverments of the world especially germany france, usa, uk, and the other capitalist ones want to eradicate all belief in god, so people hate god, and think he doesnt exist, and start putting there trust in the goverments, and are manipulated by the govermenst and world powers who only care about money making! fact!

so bottom line is : new world order ,

is working as far as they are concerned.

kind regards

There are billions of people building families and going to work etc. There are one or two people out there who are carrying out sociopathic acts like that. There are a number of gun crime stories around at the minute - not because there are more right now - but because we are in a moral panic about them

Not when I watch the news.
Just when I watch South Park, seeing as everything they make fun of is true.
But yes, we do live in a mad world.
