Hello thank you for reading.
I am looking for a old numbering system called CONE A FROM, this system was use manly for counting crops Fields and things like that it any one can help me find this info or know were it can be found please let me now. i found it a long time ago but i have ben unable to find it sence. thanks for reading

I think the writing/numbering system you are referring to is called CUNEIFORM (pronounced like "kyoo-NEE-uh-form"). It is the earliest known form of written expression, and was created by the ancient Sumerians in 3000 BC. It began as a set of pictures meant to represent different things. But, over time, these symbols became more simplified and more abstract (the later forms, shown on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cuneiform, almost looked like golf tees. These characters were written on clay tablets with a blunt reed stylus or pen in vertical columns. A group of "determinants" stood for names of gods, countries, cities, birds, trees, ships, etc. A more detailed history is given on the website.
