Like the other day when I was going for a walk I saw a mom and ducklings crossing the street really slowly, so I tried to chase them across the street so they wouldn't get hit by a car, but instead of running away the mama duck just turns around and stands still in the middle of the road hissing at me.

denster you didn't have to point that out. For the most part they're great mothers but in that particular case she was WRONG WRONG WRONG

LOL she thought you were threatening her babies. It wasn't personal.

So you didn't catch any crap. A duck cannot reason and tell herself, 'this dude just ticked me off, let me get back at him.'

the mother duck doesn't understand traffic, she only understands protecting her young. she doesn't realize you're trying to help, she just thinks this huge being is trying to hurt her young. don't be offended

mothers are defensive of younglings and approching them just alarmend her and chasing them angered her in fear of you threatning her children. can really do anything about that
