People told me that that to be a big shot in the tuff world of Hollywood you need a name you can remember even if you have to change it, so that exactly what i am going to do if i can find a cute last name that sounds good with Shelby Lyn or Shelly Lyn.

Why not just add another "n" to Lyn and become Shelby Lynn? I think that would be cute name.

I have to agree with soupkitty. Shelby Lynn is an awesome Hollywood name.
I know a bartender named Shelby, and I always thought that was a cool name. I know you don't think so, because you've heard it all your life, but Shelby Lyn (lynn whatever) actually doesn't sound bad at all.
