You are trying to find what A equals. Right now in the equation you know what P equals. If P = A+B+C, then you could say that P-A = B+C. And from there, you could say that -A = B+C-P. You now know what -A is. You need to make it +A. Multiply each side of the equation by -1. You get A = -B-C+P. There is your answer. I hope that this answer gives you what you need.
