does anyone know a UPDATED GOVERNMENT site

that explaings the laws about a minor getting emancipated in the state of illinois.

i dont neeed to hear sympathy or hear alternatives...

please just help me.

also can i get a childrens lawyer appointed to me?
i am 16 years old.

this is not based on abuse/neglect.

i just need some help


i reallly need sources but if you are POSITIVE you dont need to but they would be really appreciated.

Start with the laws on-line. www.illinois.gov should have a link.

As for a lawyer, contact legal aid in your county. They should be located at your county courthouse. If they can not help you now, they should at least point you in the right direction.

You should go to your local goverment or just search in google but if it is a serious effence get police to help you find a lawer
