my best friend is getting married and on her first date her fieonce told her that she was his true north and if he ever lost her he would be able to find her that way. at the wedding she is wanting to give him a compass that points true north and we are having trouble finding one.

Actually, as long as you know the difference between Magnetic North and True North (the declination)... you can set a simple compass to point to the pole.

Buy a nice Silva... or go to a Nautical Supply house and blow a grand on a stunning brass binnacle compass... set in the declination...

If by true north you mean the North Pole, no such compass.

The magnetic pole, to which all magnetic compasses point, is not quite located at the geographic pole.

Short of a GPS, no. there's nothing magnetic at true north.
