Then this week he stated he was guilty. Why did he change? Why are the Black people in my area angry over Mr Vick being charged?

Because the popular thing to do is to first try to lie one's way out of trouble, confess to nothing and make "them" prove one's guilt. I guess its too easy to just to the stand-up thing and admit being wrong in the first place, ask forgiveness and throwing yourself at the mercy of the courts. Now, how long do you think it will be until someone plays the "race" card?

Michael Vick said he didn't do it because he did not want to go to jail. His story changed because if it didn't his punishment would be even more harsh, though at this point that is hard to imagine. I think that the black people you speak of may be mad because Michael Vick is becoming a lightning rod for animal rights activists, racists (not that all people who criticize Vick are, but I am sure that any self-respecting racist would not miss this chance), and just generally bitter people. We are a society who loves to bring down the untouchable, and Vick certainly qualifies with all that previous money and endorsements, as probably the most athletic quarterback to ever play the position. I am not saying that dog-fighting is not morally reprehensible. But let the guy serve his time, and let him continue his life. He is not Pete Rose, he bet on dogs, not football. Yes, what Michael Vick did was horrible. But don't cast the first stone if you live in a glass house. Don't condemn this guy to hell. What did you eat for dinner? Granted, it is not man's best friend but I am sure it did not enjoy being slaughtered either.

He is trying not to admit to anything b/c although he knows he is screwed.... if he admits to the charges then his fotball career is definitely over b/c no team would be fool enough to take im on again EVEN if he is reinstated to thr league.

If black ppl in your area are made, it's probably b/c they hate to see a successful high profile member of their race go down in flames. And he won't be able to pull an "OJ"

Originally, he thought he had a good chance at getting off using his high-dollar lawyers. But as evidence mounted, his lawyers decided that he wouldn't stand much of a chance if he plead not guilty. So it's best to plead guilty, and likely get a lesser sentence than if he had plead not guilty all along.

Some black people are angry because most fully realize that African-Americans often don't get a fair shake in the justice system...I'll just leave it at that.

ino watch you mean, its like the only people supporting Vick are blacks. but not all blacks. Kevin Blackithstone on Around the Horn, during one of his face times came down on Stephon Marbaury and Roy Jones Jr. for being *** holes

because he knew he did it and when his co-conspirators began talking for plea agreements he realized he couldn't lie anymore.
