I usually don't trust people that have repeatedly cheated and lied...but I think we always hope that someone has changed and are often willing to give them the benefit of a doubt.

I don't. My degree of trust is directly proportional to such behaviours. Trusting a cheat is being foolish. Trusting a liar is being foolish.

We are fed alot of garbage growing up. Dispensing with some of it turns out to be in our best interest later in life.

Because we don't know that they are like that, initially. If not, then perhaps it's just the fact that we always hope they'd change..... or that they're so used to cheating and lying that it's become second-nature to them, and we can't HELP but trust their seemingly trustworthy self.

why would anyone put something as valuable as trust in people who will cheat and lie........you can wash a hog and put fine smelling scents on it and when it is released it will go straight back to the first mud hole that it see.......
i think my friend you need to take a long look inside yourself and see who you are.....you don't need any ones help to put you in the ditch you can do that all by yourself..

Because they are so good at their craft. They charm us before we discover who they really are and by the time we figure out that they are lying cheats... it's too late, and we end up with broken hearts.

Because we all cheat and lie. You can't mistrust everyone. Well you could but then your life would be hell.
