I am aware of the different methods one can take to repair a stuck pixel in their LCD screen. I appear to have a green and a red one on my screen, and i was wondering if i run the crazy seizure color program thing, how long can i run it for....and will it damage and other pixels or something with the screen over time. In addition, if the other procedures work, ie rubbing the pixel....and tips or something because it doesn't seem to work for me. Also, i believe the pixel CAME with the laptop....i did not aquire it over time, i was wondering if that made any difference? LAST question :)....if i have a stuck pixel and i can't fix it within X amount of time...is there a threat that it will turn dead???

please help guys, just purchased this laptop today and i don't want to configure everything again T.T

It's a dead pixel. That's a defect in the hardware, you can't fix it by changing the configuration or running a crazy seizure color program thing, whatever that is.

Tell the company you bought it from that there's a defect and you want warranty service. Some manufacturers consider a small number of bad pixels acceptable, so you may have to be persistent to get them to honor the warranty.

(If they move the hard drive from old laptop to new, you won't have to reconfigure anything.)

Rubbing a dead pixel does nothing because its actually the transistor controlling the crystal thats dead leaving it stuck in whatever angle its at. Sometimes, althou very rare, the transistor will start to work again but usually that dead pixel is there forever. There is something called pixel criteria which most companies go by that means, even under warranty you must have at least 8 dead pixels before they will do anything about it.

This is normal. If you check with the manufacture the warranty on an LCD is 5 dead pixels in 1 square inch or 15 dead one over all. They wont replace the LCD with one or two pixels out.

it is not going that this is fixed TBH. the guaranty might no longer cover a single pixel whether in case you obtain it from a considerable save (e.G. laptop international, Comet, Currys etc) then they're going to by using and huge take it returned and commerce it for you below their sixteen day decision deal or equivalent. i does no longer feel free with that myself and there is not any longer any mindset i might take delivery of it on a considerable purchase like that. i might truthfully get funds decrease back or decision.

I just came across a site that sends you a laptop for free! I'm ordering mine right now, it's a Sony VAIO and it looks really hot!
