Where exactly is it located. Is it physical? How do you know where it is or what it is? Is your mind and your soul the same thing?

The mind is a product of the over active human (and other species) brain. It's an imagined and genetically influenced identity. As for a "soul" this is the same as the mind. If they are not the same thing, then they are made the same way. They exist only in the form of the brain. In my opinion, that is.

I'd say that it's in my brain. My first thought was that it was probably attached to my soul, as a brain is technically just an organ - but you can lose your mind and still have a soul, which brings me to the conclusion that it's just something which exists inside your brain..... like your personality.

Yes, I have a mind, it is my own personal store of things that have served me throughout my life time, the part of me that discerns what is acceptable to me and what isn't . That tells me when to accept things as gospel or with a grain of salt,

"Where" does not apply to the mind. It is not corporeal, not material. It exists externally to the four-dimensional space-time continuum.
This is part of the "image of God" mentioned in the Bible.
