Your hard drive is getting ready to "ping." When this happens, the only thing left will be the Ping Pong game you will not be able to play because your hard drive will be gone to cyber never, never land.

Go to your local computer store and buy a 750 maxtor hard disc or similar and download your entire hard drive to this external hard drive that will now be your back up of your entire drive.

good luck to you

First I'd back up any data I didn't want to loose. Like the guy said, take it to a computer store or if you feel brave, take the cover off after you unplug the box. Plug it back in and start it up. Look for the noise and see where it's coming from. It sounds to me like a hard drive is starting to fail or is there a disk in the cd or dvd player that's rubbing on something? Is there a disk in the 1.44 disk drive..assuming you have one at all.
Good luck!
