Backyard, too many people see me in the frontyard and feel they have to come over and say hi.

Neither one. My house does not face the street. It's sideways. I have a front yard, a backyard and a courtyard. I always sit on my "front porch" which is in the courtyard, because I have a privacy fence and I have privacy. It's a quiet place and no one can see me. I enjoy being alone and able to dress how I want and do what I want without being seen.

When we had a house in the burbs, we were in the back yard a lot. Grilling on the deck, playing on the swings with our daughter, or frolicking in the pool.
But now that we are in a town house in the city, we spend more time on the front steps. We stand out there and talk to the neighbors, let the dog out to cop a squat, and just sit on the steps and watch traffic.

i like the frountyard cause i listen to my ipod while i watch games across the street the backyard just makes me bored for some reason.

frontyard because we are building and addition onto the back of our house and it is a mess in my back yard it is soooo depressing to go back there.

Neither, way to hot to be outside in AZ, and there is no pool... :( Otherwise backyard. They don't have front yards like they used to... lol

the side yard, thats where the pool is. my front yard is all driveway and trees and my backyard is all hills. even if the pool wasn't there id still hang out there most.
