My in-laws are currently having a garage sale and I have quite a bit of my daughter's items over there. My sis in law informed me today that she doesn't wish to have garage sales in the future. I can't afford just to donate about $500 worth of stuff away and I don't want to go the eBay or Craigslist route. My hubby and I will be placing ads up at work to try to sell some that way. Any other ideas?

Forgot to add...I can't have garage sale of my own as I live in an apartment and they aren't allowed. It's on the lease.

Local charities in our area raise money by consigning items.
You get a charitable deduction for the portion of the sale they keep.

Thats hard. The Garage Sale is usually the bottom of the food chain for sales. Some second hand clothing consignment shops might be able to help you, but if not, Put adds in the local paper.

If you have any Barbie stuff, let me know. Otherwise, you are stuck with having a garage sale of your own.
