great, just great.

my brother went up to neighbors to play, and then my dad got home, and he needed to go to the eye dr, so we got in the car, and drove up the street to the neighbors to tell my brother that we were leaving, and he knew how to get in the house, when we got up there, the neighbors little girl came up and started chatting with my dad, and their 2 year old golden retriever came and jumped up on the car, (acura MDX) with her front feet, (and claws) and scratched the paint of our red car! a 2002 acura mdx, in otherwise new condition, weve had it in the garage for most of its life, because its my dads baby, the dog scratched the paint. what should we do?

weve got a great relationship with our neighbors, and we dont want to ruin it, but the dog scratched the car, im in a predicament

it appears that the majoratey of the scratches can be polished out, but a couple are pretty deep

dad just about had a heart attack right there becaus he spent $20,000, its his baby

Bummer. I wish that's all I had to worry about is a stupid paint job on an overly priced car. Go cry Emo girl.

too long! jesus

All you needed to say is that your neighbours dog accidently scratched your car by jumping on it.

Why are you telling us all this? We don't care.

Get some of that stuff that covers scratches on cars, and pay more attention in future, especially when a dog goes running towards it.

You can hardly contact the insurance place, if a car leaves a garage there is a good chance it will get scratched at some point. If it is so precious then get a police escort next time and have laser beams around it so no one can get close.

Well thats what ins. is for isn't it? If you have full coverage why wouldn't you file it? you pay for it!! So why not take the time to use it like now?? It was an accident and i wouldn't think they would or could make your neighbors pay anythng on it? !! Plus if you havn't had alot of accidents then your ins. shouldn't go up !! and why would it , it wasn't your fault ? !! So what does it hurt to file the ins.?? i don't understand? Its really not that big of a deal to file and have the car fixed and everyones happy again !!

you can take it to the dealership where your dad bought it and get the deep scratches fixed for no more that 500 dollars. just go to the dealership with the car and ask then how much to repair this scratches and they will tell you right there. :) good question and thanks!

It's not like the dog lives to scratch your car on purpose...it's not its' fault.
