Absolutely !! and sheets for beds ! but these days, I am 56, the market will charge greedily for whatever one will pay. I go to the 2nd hand stores because I am very pragmatic and don't care about the beauty of it, which is what drives up the cost, but I care about the function of it. Also, when I was young in the 50's and 60's my mom would buy sheets to make curtains and clothing because it was much cheaper than buying fabric and even fabric was cheap then, but that really shows how horribly high prices are for towels and sheets in relativity to other things.

Yeah. I was looking at someone's wedding registry, and they had towels on there for $20 each! I have to admit, they are really soft, but still, I'd be afraid I'd mess them up in the dryer or something.

No, towels are pretty cheap. You can go to Wal-Mart and get a couple for like 5 bucks.
