i'm trying to purchase a dvd of independence day movie. are these two versions different, is one a differnet movie? or is it special features? do they like add footage to one of htem? cause i hate it when they do that. lol

Hi. The difference between the first 2 you have listed are small. Mostly just the packaging. The 2nd one came out to promote 'The Day After Tomorrow' by giving free movie tickets to see it along with a sneak peek at that movie. The 3rd one you have listed is just a cheaper version of the first 2 without as many Special Features. However, ALL 3 versions contain the 'Theatrical Cut' of the movie AND the 'Special Version' with 9 extra minutes of footage and all contain the 'Original Unused Ending' bonus feature which I won't spoil for you. The Special Edition is the one I always watch because it has a couple extra characters not in the Theatrical Version, and the movie still moves right along. So you can really just pick the cheapest, or if you want ALL the HBO specials and 'making ofs' then pick one of the first 2. Either way, you can't go wrong :-) Enjoy!
