I agree with sensible_man. I have a friend that lives in an Atlanta subdivision and she can only have licensed, running, insured vehicles in her driveway, none on the street, no rvs or boats, and even no clothesline in her own yard. Those are only part of that community's rules. So you very well may be violating some type of rule or ordinance. Being within the city limits or within a subdivision is different than living out in the country or out in the county rural areas. If you have a neighbor, close enough for it to bother, then you probably live in a zoned or ordinanced area, and if he complains the rv is probably soon to be rambling down the road.

It depends on the codes that apply to the neighborhood where you live. Some communities/developments have covenants that are more restrictive than the town/county code. There might also be some health department regulations that apply. You have to check into it yourself. If you have a homeowners association, you'd be paying dues and you would have received a great big binder or rules (covenants).

Check city code in your area. In many cases the motor home can be in you yard, but they probably have codes about people living in them on your property, or a limit of time that a person can stay in it on your property.

He could if it was up to code. I don't know how it's not being used to code, but the issue here isn't whether your son can live there or not. It's whether it's up to code or not. So, I would say no, he can't live there if it's not up to code, whatever that maybe be.

Many areas have local codes that prohibit someone from living in a vehicle (camper or otherwise) on residential property. Where I used to live, you could not even park it on your property.
