theres like this group of kids that i gess u could call the "kool kids" and lyk i wanna be there friends nd everything but the thing is im not that kool. dnt get me wrong im not lyk a loser im jst not "popular" how do u thnk i can chnge my status/rep? i rly need this help!

first you could stop lyk talking lyk a try hard kool kid. Just be yourself. If you put on an act just to be their friends how long do you think you can keep acting before you slip up and show the real you. You will probably find that you can still be you and be friends with them aswell you just need to find common ground with one of them. A class you have togeather or an interest maybe.

What you'd have to do to be popular will ruin you in the long run. You should see what happened to the popular kids at my school. Let's just say I can see their beer bellies anytime I go back to a dive bar in my home town.
I longed for the same thing you do, but when i grew up, was the exact moment I realized they weren't popular for the right reasons...
Would you really want to look like Britney Spears does now...before they photoshop.
It's better not to peak in High School. Then life from there is all downhill.-usually a cliff, I found.
People who are friends because of who you are are the ones worth keeping.

Although this sounds like a totally lame answer, i am saying it anyway. Just be happy with the friends you have. The popular people really are not that great, although that may be the way they seem. Why are you unhappy with the friends you have? Becoming popular could be something you will regret. If you like the people as actual people, and not as a social icon that will make you popular, sure, be their Friend. But if you are wanting to become their friend for the benefits that go along with it, it's not worth it. If they don't like you for who you are, they ain't real friends.

Many people go through their whole lives trying to fit in and all it does is make them more of a loser. Why do you want to be friends with people who don't like you? Do you want to be a fake and be miserable? Anyways, "popular" people are usually snotty and mean. There's a "popular" person that I know and when I talk to her "friends" they tell me that they hate her and only hang out with her to become more popular. Do you want to be that "popular" person? Also, even if you get into the "popular" group many times they don't let in your friends. So let me get this straight, you want to trade in old friends who care about you and are interested in you for "popular" people who want nothing to do with you? No offense, but to me it sounds pretty dumb. So here's my advice, be yourself and you'll make more friends who DO like you. You'll have way more friends than how many the "popular" people have and you'll have a great time. Sorry if I didn't help that much but, what's the point of being popular? Like I said most of the "popular" people are snotty and mean and they become "popular" by acting like complete jerks. Do you want to be viewed as that kind of person? What is popular anyway? I think that your real friends already see you as the most popular person ever. =)

I'm telling you this from experience, I used try to fit in with the popular kids...and I did for a while. But I realized that it's not all it's cracked up to be. Try to have REAL friends that REALLY understand who you are and have things in common with you. Trust me I've been there. Just be yourself.

I know that you do not want to hear this but: Please don't try.
I did, and it was the most wasted year of my life. It is not worth it. Just keep your friends, embrace who you are, and belive me you are probly a much nicer person, with more confidence.
I used to be friends with that group. It was the worst years in my life. I always felt on guard like I had to prove my self. You should never have to prove your self to anyone!
Let alone your friends...
the more you try the more you will seem like a fake wannabe, you are who you are for a reason and just embrace the beautiful popular girl inside of you. the popular girl that is popular beacuse she is nice, smart, and helps people.
be beautiful for your personality, and character, not for your money, and the clothes it buys you...

The popular side is not as great as it seems.
But if you want to be like them:
Try thinking you're better than everyone else
Spend way too much money on clothes
Flunk out of school
Make fun of those who aren't like you
And you don't "rly need this"
Make some real friends who will like you for who you are.

I think that you need to realize that there are more important things to aspire to than being "popular". Study hard go to college get a good career and in a few years when all the "popular" kids are working in dead end jobs wearing paper hats you see how much you want to be like them.

being popular is not necessarily a good thing, it can make you change from a good person to someone snobby and stuck-up but on the other hand, it's not necessarily a bad thing to be either,it all depends and i understand why you want to be popular. just go for new fashions and trends and fads and dont hang out with "uncool" people.

Be real girl. You are popular already. You just don't realize it. Everyone is. You might not be with the "it" girls but you are popular among your friends. thats all that matters anyways. the thing is that everyone hates these snobby popular girls, but they play along to be "popular". who cares? You won't get anywhere in life trying to be popular. You want to have friends who like you for you. you cant change for somenoe else. how pathetic.
