Brian's obviously not a musician. ☺

If you want to become a professional musician in the modern music genres (vs a classically trained musician) then Berklee Music is THE place to go.

No other school/conservatory has prepared more professionals in the business than Berklee Music. Keep in mind though that they lean to the music industry as we know it now, if you want to study the masters of history then The Juilliard School would be the place to look as the best.

While they do indeed have a very high selectivity, if you have the talent you will get in -- and if you get in then you have the talent. Have a few other eggs in your basket - there are other fine schools out there that prepare musicians.

They offer some courses online (with some free sample lessons) if you'd like to check them out first. http://www.berkleemusic.com/

It was the first college to recognize and accept the guitar as a principal instrument and currently 1000 of Berklee's students are enrolled as guitar principals.

Berklee College of Music is not ranked if that's what you are looking for. However, it is good if you want a career as a musician. Ignore the first poster, he doesn't have a clue.

Go to their website and see what the requirements are for foreign students. You may also want to work on your grammar/punctuation/capitalization skills.
