i accidently left mine on for 24 hours. it was on 1 though, and it was hardly noticably warm. please only answer if you know.

I asked my husband and he told me that the cost would probably be about 40 cents for the whole 24 hours, so not all that expensive, but don't leave it on too often because it can be a fire hazard.

The newer ones will shut themselves off after 10 hours. They have solid state controls and will say about automatic shutoff on the box. If you are worried about leaving it on then maybe you should upgrade.
They all only use about 100 watts or so and that means yours probably ran for a full day for about a quarter.

Most electric blankets use less energy then a 50 watt light bulb
