For the most part, I agree...greed is a major problem in causing pollution.
However, if you read a lot of these Y! Q & A's, you know that a lot of people don't believe there is pollution or global warming and/or are unwilling to do their part in resolving the problem.
Yes, cartels, Big Business, Government is to blame. But, so are the individuals. People don't have to buy at Wal-Mart. It is people who run the cartels, Big Business, Government. Scientists claim that, without fertilyzers, pesticides, herbicides, the world can support about 1 billion people. There are now approximately 6.7 billion. So, the major problem is TOO MANY PEOPLE. Get rid of 5.7 billion people and most of the problems would be resolved.

By definition, "when every species... is dead or extinct" means that even those of the "greedy cartels" will also be extinct!!
So I doubt if they will be satisfied....
