...At this particular point in time, knowing what we all know of each presidential candidate and their platforms - Who do you believe will get the Dem or Rep nod for the Presidency (& with whoever for a running mate) and what do you base your belief on? Please think earnestly and carefully before answering. Maybe, if the candidates see this, they can gain some insight as to their mistakes, right choices, stupidity with their comments, etc. Sometimes it takes an open forum like this to wake them up!
Looking forward to all you good folks checking in and commenting!

None of the candidates from either side are presidential material. All of them are fine prospects for a cabinet position, that's all!

I am not particularly happy with anybody; Marxists and people who aid and help the enemy get no points from me.

But as far as "debate", I thought it was phrased as "Let's chat."

Where the heck are Barry Goldwater, Teddy Roosevelt, Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan when you need them? I'd be happier with a Harry S. Truman...and even John F. Kennedy comes off as an American conservative these days...

I don't want to guess who will win the primaries, I think this is what's getting us in trouble in the first place.

I would love to see an Edwards/Obama ticket for the Democrats.

Obama (D) vs. Thompson (R) and just the way they are, it works for the General Election, and may the best man win.

Mitt Romney is the former Governor of my home state of Mass. and I think that he did a great job here, so I would tend to lean towards possibly a Romney/Thompson ticket...

If I got my wish it would be Dem. Mike Gravel vs Rep. Ron Paul! That way, the people would win, regardless! *sm*

Not sure. I've heard that everybody who's already put forth a bid won't get in-It will be those who show up later. But, I don't know who that would be.
