I think a lot of free loaders would have to go out and get a job. I think the economy would sky-rocket. People would have more money to spend and save. The revenue of the government would go up. We'd be a hell of a lot better off than we are now.

I see a couple of people haven't studied their history lessons. Each time in the last century that taxes were lowered, the government wound up with more money. The economy soars when taxes drop, creating much more taxable revenue in the private sector - that translates to much more taxes the government takes in. It's like, which would you rather have. 50% of a hundred dollars, or a mere ten percent of a thousand dollars. The percentage is lower, but the return is greater. It just works that way. The same thing happened when President Kenneday reduced taxes, the economy boomed.

First, it would restore hope for the government by the people. Second, the health would increase as so many people stress out over taxes. People would enjoy their lives more by having more spending power with the money they work hard for. The economy would be brighter, and who knows, our money would stay and work better in this country than sending it out to other countries.

Hypothetically, Americans would have more money to spend and the economy would boom.
But the reality would be that government spending would not subside, which would create even more federal debt.
What would you do about corporations like Halliburton who has raped the American taxpayers of BILLIONS of dollars from this Iraq 'war', and is now relocating its corporate headquarters to the Cayman Islands to avoid paying any federal taxes on those BILLIONS???

Great things. There would be better jobs available to American workers, more people would go to college, people would invest more, home ownership would go up and companies would come from around the world to be in the United States.

They should do that right now.

The debt would skyrocket. Take a look at what happens to the national debt every time we've had a tax cut lately.

Look around you. We already have the lowest taxes of any first world nation. I say we RAISE taxes and finally have universal health coverage for everybody. Think about it, you're actually paying more for health care now by using private insurance, than people in Canada and France do by paying for it through their taxes. Yeah, our taxes will be a bit higher, boo hoo. Our quality of life and life expectancy will be a lot better too.

Libs would still complain it was for the rich. People would have more to spend which would equate to more tax revenue.
