I don't know why anyone would vote for a political party that supports higher taxes on working people, amnesty for traitors exposing CIA agents, expanded corporate welfare that benefit the fat and lazy corporations, branding any discussion of issues treason, putting a blind eye to illegals who work the factory farms, favor mandatory life support for 8 year brain dead husks, hates people that love each other, and hates our justice system while at the same time wishing to send more young idealistic military volunteers into an futile quagmire in the middle east, supporting a larger federal government looking in our windows, and trying to supress "undesirable" religious beliefs?
I don't know why anyone would vote for that.

I want to...I have a different take on issues than you and that is OK. I am allowed to vote for whoever I would like. Do you have a problem that I have a different opinion than you do? What a silly question. This is like me saying why do you vote republican? Because you agree with them and you want to get elected. Move on some people are always going to vote democrat .

Thankfully, there were some incredibly well informed answers here. Everything you stated is a fallacy. I won't even bother further, except to say: THANK GOD you & your ilk are in the teeny little minority.
THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO WILL NOT SEE.

Oh where to start. Most people vote democrat because they lack morals and any common sense. We try to keep our morals and values our country was founded upon, not abort babies, give out handouts to everyone too lazy to work, legalizing marijuana, and not to mention having a law for EVERYTHING!
Liberalism is a mental disorder, and they claim to be the party of peace and hope, but those socialists are the biggest hypocrites out there. They are trying to bring back socialism, and communism. Be aware.
Oh, and to the idiot above me, I DO NOT stand against Iraq. Speak for yourself commie.

Higher taxes? Well the taxes need to be raised before our national debt gets so high that the dollar is worth less than the peso. You can thank Bush for that? Criminal rights over victims rights? :You mean they don't support witch hunts? Well anyone who has read the constitution and believes in it would do the same. You wouldn't want American citizens in Guantanamo Bay without representation would you? Don't answer that. I fear you're so far right that you do. Minority special privledges? Like what? Equal opportunity? Lord forbid things should be equal. Why do I get the feeling you're white and old? Expanded welfare programs that benefit the lazy? Perhaps some people abuse it, but the majority of people are legitimate. If welfare programs were scaled back, you'd find that crime would skyrocket, and you don't want to get yanked out of your gas guzzling SUV (which I'm sure only you are in) do you? Political correctness? That's called "tact", true politicians are quite good at it, Bush obviously not being among them. Tact stops wars and helps improve relationships between countries, while ignorance and the "hell lets bomb em billy!" attitude is what gets Americans killed. Illegal immigration? They are for monitoring illegal immigrants, which is way better than just letting them roam around. Gay marriage? Whats it matter to you? Does gay marriage affect you? It affects your beliefs perhaps, but there's a good reason for seperation of church and state. Government healthcare? If you oppose that perhaps you should leave the country, lacking the desire for America to be healthy is clearly un-American.
EVERYBODY stands against Iraq, it was a horrible mistake and that has been admitted by a good amount of politicians that voted for it initially. On top of that, the majority of the military isn't behind Iraq, so how are you to support people who don't even support the war themselves? No Democrats want soldiers home and alive, while Republicans are quite happy to have soldiers slaughtered. You don't care though right? I mean what's it matter to you, I've lost more people than I have fingers from Iraq and you're worried about the price of gas I'm willing to bet.
I could go on and on and on, but the point is you're ignorant and I pray for the day fools like you are the majority, fortunately that day is far away.

-- 49% to 36% say the Democratic Party more closely shares their values and positions on the issues.

“Polls Show Decline in Conservative Values”
http://www.voanews.com/english/2007-08-21-voa14.cfm
-- Health care - A recent CBS-New York Times poll found nine out of 10 people want either major repairs to the health care system or a complete overhaul.
-- The Pew Research Center has been studying values for 20 years. It found a decline in the intensity of religious beliefs and more acceptances of homosexuals.
-- On poverty, Pew found in the past 12 years, there has been a double-digit increase in the percentage of Americans who say government should care for those who cannot take care of themselves, even if that means incurring more debt.
-- And Pew found about half of Americans now see an economic system sharply divided between the haves and the have nots.
----------------------
Bush took office in January 2001 with a disapproval rating of 25% (clearly, the upper 25% of intelligent Americans).
By September 2001 (just before 9/11), Bush’s disapproval rating was almost 40%.
9/11 temporarily made Americans forget just how stupid and incompetent Bush is. His disapproval rating dropped like a rock to below 10% (clearly, this represents the absolute smartest 10% of all Americans).
However, even the worst disaster in US history was no match for the inherent lameness of the Bush-brain.
By September 2002 – Bush’s disapproval rating was up to 30%.
By September 2003 – Bush’s disapproval rating was up to 43%.
By September 2004 – Bush’s disapproval rating was up to 47%.
By September 2005 – Bush’s disapproval rating was up to 51%.
By September 2006 – Bush’s disapproval rating was up to 56%.
By early 2007, Bush had broken the 60% barrier and has even threatened to hit the 70% mark.
These results can only mean one thing in terms of Bush’s performance as President of the United States of America – LOSER.

Why do conservatives whine about taxes?
Conservatives buy into the war in Iraq. They want to stay there a while, but they don't want to pay their taxes to support it. You can't have it both ways.
Maybe if conservatives were not so selfish when it came to taxes, the troops out there in Iraq would have some armored Humvees to protect from IEDs.
Shame on you.
