Yes, I seem to have forgotten a year of my life! My aunt and I were talking about birthdays (mine was on Monday) and when I told her how old I'd be, she started laughing. Turns out I was a year older than I was acknowledging. Hell to get old!

If I have forgotten it, I guess I can't give you an example.
But I'll try.
I don't remember much about the historical dates I had to memorize in High School.
I used to know several of Edgar Allen Poe's poems and could quote them, now I only know a few lines.
I've forgotten my address where I lived in Texas in the early 60's
I've forgotten friends phone numbers, since they are all programmed into my cell phone now.
