I worked at McDonald's for two weeks, and I got pay on the second week on Friday, but it only paid for the first week I work there. Is it weird or is it normal, and how does it works?

They don't "hold your pay". You simply started in the middle of a pay-period therefore the one week check. They still owe you a week of pay on the next pay-date.

Ya, what that other girl said.. they usually hold your pay for the first week or two weeks. It will be a domino effect after that.. and whenever you quite you will get a check two weeks after even if you didn't work. But if this doesn't sound right.. then talk to your manager.

oh, i used to work there too, and i got so mad when that first happened.

Ok, so what they do is, on payday, they pay you for the two weeks of work you did BEFORE the present week.
So for this week you get to get paid in 2 weeks.

They told me it takes time to calculate w/e so thats why that happens.

So for this week, that you are working now, you'll get paid in 2 weeks. Sucks

And then for the week 2 weeks from now, that week you'll get paid in a month.
Does this make sense?

I hope so~

You came in on an off week. You'll get paid for the missing week on the next pay-day.
