A lot of the above tells how to make COMPOST, which is used to enrich soil. Use their instructions to make compost. To make soil, however, start with clay, then add sand, then add lots of HUMUS, which is basically what compost is before it eventually breaks down. All good soil is composed of these three ingredients, with lesser ingredients added as needed (such as fertilizer, lime, etc.). Good luck.

Start with vegetable peelings, crushed dried eggshells, leaves, grass clippings; mix everything together in a pail outside. Then water it. Sprinkle a little dirt over the top of it, hopefully some with earthworms in it. Then just wait a while.
Water the pile every 2-3 days and after a week mix the pile up. Then water it again, and keep waiting and mixing until the mixture gradually turns into compost, or soil. Then you can use it. The more good stuff you put into it, the richer it will be.

Go outside with a shovel, dig in the ground, and use the dirt that you dig up. Make sure to pull out any rocks. Adding used coffee grounds may help to fertilize the soil. Good luck!

You can't make soil. What you can make is compost, which is organic material that you add to the soil. See the link for an explanation on how to make compost.

don't forget to add nitrogen, but not too much. nitrogen creates the heat that breaks down the waste. some people use rabbit food, because it doesn't contain that much.
