I want to know what you guys would choose thats all

id rather take down the guy trying to kill people, whats his problem? and why am i the one guy? some stalker if he wants to kill me. if that wasnt a choice, i would rather die and let the 100 people know i died for them, i also couldnt live with the guilt, im not one for guilt

It depends on the circumstances. I would pray about it first (even if it had to be a 5 second prayer) and make sure that it was the right thing to do at the time. For me this isnt a simple yes or no. If it was God's will, then 100% I'd die for the 100 to live.

I would rather that I die and 100 people survive . I have a heroic type mindset when it comes to it if their is any pain that I could take that would save the rest or if I had to die then I would pick myself as I am sure anybody else would. It is easier said than done though that is for sure.

If it were 100 people that I did not know or care for, then they would die. Because the only ones I'd die for are my wife and two children.

...geez.. humans are so self serving! LOL Vial! That's why that Christian god is always trying to kill us with flooding or fire!!
Of course, I would choose to die for 100 people! :D I wouldn't do it out of guilt. I would do it because the needs of the many MUST override the needs of the one... the greater good. I wouldn't go without a fight though! I mean, I'd try to stop whatever was trying to kill me and the others. If it were something like one of those disator films where someone needs to jump into a mine shaft and stop the leak of some gas or something, I would do it! You bet!
We are here to be there for others...bottom line! We are here for eachother. That's why we are born into families. If we were here for ourselves, no one would have emotions...they wouldn't need them. We'd all be made of computer scrap parts...

every situation is different. If it was a battle and i was a solidier fighting for a cause, then of course better 100 other fighters for the cause. If it is like a hostage situation, it depends who the other 100 people are. If they are my children and husband, then i would rather die. If they are total strangers and its their life or mine, I would save my own skin. It is only a humane desire to live.

If those people were the Taliban, my thinking would be a bit different. When it comes to war, it is preferable that the enemy die in vast numbers to bring it more swiftly to its end, but to that end, if my life saves 100 army com-rads, nothing else would make sense.

I'd like to say that I'd choose for 100 to live, but I'm not sure I'm that self sacrificing or noble.

100 to live, not cause i just love the world, but my guilt would be too much knowing, that 100 families are mourning and my, one tiny family is rejoicing

If my dying saved those 100, then I'd have to say I'd make that ultimate sacrifice.
